Ms. Griggs will be serving as assistant principal flute with the Omaha Symphony for the 2016-17 season.
Ms. Griggs has won the piccolo position with the Omaha Symphony and will be joining them in September 2015.
Alyssa performed in the finals of the Myrna Brown Competition and received Honorable Mention.
Ms. Griggs has been selected as a semifinalist for the Myrna Brown Young Artist Competition to be held in Denton, TX May 14-16.
Ms. Griggs is giving a solo recital on May 12, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Catholic Eldercare (817 Main St. NE Minneapolis, MN). This recital features works by Martin, Marais, Roussel, and Weber. Guest artists include: Siena Forest, soprano, Kevin Hobbs, piano, and Scott Lykins, cello. The event is free and open to the public.
Ms. Griggs is happy to announce that she is now a tenured musician with the Chattanooga Symphony.

Ms. Griggs is excited to begin her new position as piccoloist with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra in January 2015.
Alyssa is the first place winner of the Upper Midwest Flute Association Young Artists Competition.
Alyssa recently won the position of piccolo/assistant flute with the Chattanooga Symphony which will start in September 2014.
Alyssa was named a finalist in the UMFA Young Artists Competition. The final round will be live and open to the public at Augsburg College Minneapolis, MN on April 12th, (time TBA).
